In the streets of Vieste

The festival includes a procession of the faithful along the main streets of the Old Town of Vieste. The Holy Mass in honor of the Virgin Maria di Merino is celebrated in the Cathedral of Vieste. Inside the Cathedral you can admire a precious wooden statue that represents the image of the Madonna di Merino

The Feast of Vieste ends with the usual and fascinating fireworks show.

The festival is of course dedicated to the faithful Christians. A must for those who love to get in touch with the local traditions and culture. The event, which has great religious value, also bears witness of the will of the people of Vieste, to preserve and hand down its history and folklore.
